Message from the Head

What a week it has been at Queen’s Park!

After what has felt like a very long wait, it has been wonderful to finally be able to share our Ofsted report with our whole community. We are incredibly proud to have been judged as meeting the Expected Standard in every area!

Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to email, stop us at the gate or share a few kind words. The messages of support, encouragement and pride in our school have been quite overwhelming, and they have meant a huge amount to me and to the whole team. This achievement belongs to our entire Queen’s Park community, and it has been lovely to see it celebrated so warmly.

Now we want to make sure people beyond our gates know what is happening at Queen’s Park too. Our Reception tours for children starting school in September 2027 are coming up, so please help us spread the word. Share our posts, tell friends and neighbours, and recommend us to families looking for a school where their child will be known, valued and challenged to achieve.

A particular thank you to those families who consistently champion our school. Your willingness to share your own experiences, celebrate what is happening here and help others see the Queen’s Park that you know makes a genuine difference.

We have so much to be proud of and now is the time to shout about it!

🌟 ATTENDANCE UPDATE 🌟

🎉 WE ARE DOING AMAZINGly! 🎉

We are delighted to say that overall attendance at Queens Park this term is the BEST EVER!

We are closer than EVER to hitting our attendance target! ⭐

We are aware every year that as the autumn term continues, there are often more illnesses doing the rounds so we thought we'd remind everyone of the expectations for attendance.

Really importantly, reminding children to wash their hands regularly is a great way to prevent spreading germs and becoming unwell in the first place.

If children feel slightly unwell with a headache, tummy ache or slight runny nose or cough they are fine to come into school. Speak with the office team who can support with giving calpol and medicine if needed.

Please please please book children's medical appointments outside school time or as late as possible in the day. If the appointment is an emergency and during the school day the office will need to see confirmation of the appointment.

Thank you so much to all our families for making sure that children are here every day, on time, and are not missing out!
